Sessions run for 50 minutes, and usually occur at a regular time each week. During the initial session we will discuss how many sessions you think you may need. As a point of reference, I recommend six sessions initially – but this is not set in stone. If you feel additional sessions would be beneficial, or if you feel confident that you have successfully addressed your issues after 2 or 3 sessions, then we can re-contract as appropriate. I find that this provides a framework at least, so that both therapist and client know where we are from the beginning and have something to work towards. All discussions are confidential: I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psycotherapy) and adhere to its Ethical Framework and Guidelines.
